PLEASE NOTE: The location specific Terms and Conditions must be read in conjunction with these General Terms.
Reservations
We are not deemed to have accepted a reservation until we have confirmed with our suppliers that a vehicle is available for you and emailed your rental voucher to you. The primary method of communication between Whizz Car Rental and you will be email. It is your responsibility to ensure that your email system is capable of receiving and printing email communications from Whizz Car Rental in both HTML and plain text formats and that such communications are not rejected by your system or by your internet service provider as "spam". Whizz Car Rental will accept no liability whatsoever for losses or failures of any sort that result from you not receiving an email sent by us and our email logs shall be undisputable evidence of the fact that an email was sent.
Prices & Payment
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all rates are fully inclusive of Unlimited Free Mileage, Insurance, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Waiver, Airport Surcharges, Breakdown Recovery and all Local Taxes. Local Driving Permit fees are not included. A deposit is required at the time the reservation is made and the balance is payable when you collect your vehicle. Whizz Car Rental accepts Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, Switch, Delta, Solo & JCB for payment of your deposit. The balance payable at the location may only be made by a major credit card in the drivers name.
Flight Information
If you are collecting your car at an airport, it is imperative that Whizz Car Rental is provided with your correct arrival flight number and estimated arrival time. If this is not known to you at the time your reservation is made, please ensure that you make contact with our reservations department at least 7 days prior to departure. If we are not provided with the correct flight information within the period stated, no responsibility can be accepted or compensation allowed for a failed rental.
Out Of Hours Charges
Whizz Car Rental is happy to request for your vehicle to be available at an airport even outside working hours. However, in most cases, this will attract an out of hoursı charge, details of which will be given to you at the time we receive your arrival flight information. Please also note that should your flight be delayed, causing collection of the car to fall outside working hours, this charge will also apply. In either case, these charges are paid locally.
Delivery / Collection
Collection of your rental vehicle is normally from an airport or local office. In some locations deliveries are available. Where clients require their car to be delivered to their accommodation, full details of the address and time of delivery must be given to Whizz Car Rental at the time of booking. In some cases, a delivery charge may apply. Please ask our reservations department at the time of booking.
Period Of Rental
All hires are calculated and sold in periods of 24 hours. In some countries there is a 3 day minimum period. After the car has been collected, it may be possible to extend at these rates by contacting Whizz Car Rental by e-mail or telephone and making further payment as required. If extension is made directly with the local car hire company, the rate may be considerably higher. Missed return deadlines without pre-authorised extension will be charged locally. Please note that no refunds will be made for vehicles returned early.
Driving Licence and Identification
At the time of collecting a vehicle, drivers must produce a full valid driving licence, issued by their country of residence and one other form of identification such as a passport. The licence qualifying period varies by country from a minimum of one year. Our reservations staff should be informed at the time of booking of any endorsements on the driverıs licence as in some cases hire will not be possible with certain types of endorsements. A minimum age restriction applies at most locations, particularly in the USA. No refunds will be given for rentals aborted due to non-production of any driving licence or non-disclosed endorsements. Faxed or photocopied documents are not acceptable. If a licence is not printed in Roman script, it must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Licence.
Driverıs Age
If you are under 25 years old or over 70, it may still be possible to rent a car through Whizz Car Rental but age and vehicle eligibility restrictions do apply in certain destinations. Please check on the relevant page of our website for details.
Additional Drivers
In most locations charges apply for additional drivers. These are shown on the location specific Terms and Conditions. Whizz Car Rental cannot be held responsible for any increase in charges between the time of booking and the time of collection.
Number Of Passengers
All vehicles are insured for the appropriate maximum number of passengers. Please ensure that you choose a vehicle suitable for the size of your party and their luggage.
Driving Restrictions
Restrictions may apply when crossing country borders or certain states within the USA. Please advise our reservations department at the time of booking if you plan to drive your vehicle out of the country/state of collection. For cross border use additional charges may apply. These charges will be payable locally. Please check for further information with our reservations department.
Special Requests
In most locations there will be an additional charge for special request items such as Child/Infant seats, Roof Racks, Ski Racks and Snow Chains. These items are readily available for our clients in most locations but must be pre-booked. Please note that in most countries, Child Seats are mandatory. No guarantee can be made regarding special request availability.
Cancellation Policy & Charges
Cancellations must be made using our website or in writing either by e-mail or surface mail to the contact address displayed on the Contact Us page of this site. The website is the preferred method and any cancellation instructions transmitted by this method will receive priority status over other methods. Instructions to cancel will take effect from the date they are received by Whizz Car Rental. If for any reason you need to cancel your reservation, the following cancellation charges will apply:

If the applicable charge is less than the minimum fee, the minimum fee of £15 applies.
An administration fee of 200% of the deposit will be charged to the person named on the relevant booking page of this web site if a voucher is used after the reservation has been cancelled.
Changes & Amendments
First Extensions or upgrade charged at cost difference.
The following changes will incur a £10 administration fee in addition to any cost differences.
Security and Fuel Deposits
Upon collection of your car, you will be required to leave a security deposit using a major credit card in the name of the main driver. The amount of the deposit will vary by destination. Cash deposits are not accepted. Where the vehicle is to be returned with a full tank of fuel, a fuel deposit will also be charged and is refundable if the vehicle is duly returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is not returned full, you will be charged locally for the fuel required to fill the tank, together with a service charge for re-fuelling.
Vehicle Type / Vehicle Suitability
Whizz Car Rental cannot guarantee to supply a particular model or make of vehicle. The vehicle type shown on your car hire voucher is for guidance only and we reserve the right to substitute the quoted model with another vehicle of similar size and specification. If for any reason the vehicle supplied is not equivalent to that requested or not suitable due to performance or condition, please inform the local car hire company and Whizz Car Rental immediately in writing. Whizz Car Rental cannot accept any liability where this is not done.
Mechanical Difficulties / Accidents
In the event of any mechanical difficulties or accident involving your rental vehicle, it is imperative that details are reported to the local car hire company immediately. You should also notify the local police in the case of accidents and a signed police report should be obtained. You should also obtain full details of any third parties involved. Authority to repair or replace a vehicle must be obtained from the local car hire company supplying your vehicle and whose name and address appears on your voucher and rental agreement. You should retain copies of all rental documentation in the event that an insurance company become involved. Compensation cannot be considered when this procedure is not followed correctly.
In the event of an accident there is no obligation for the local car hire company or Whizz Car Rental to provide a replacement vehicle.
Insurance Excess and Exclusions
The insurance cover offered by our suppliers may have an excess attached, this is the first amount of any claim which remains the responsibility of the hirer. The excess amount will vary by location and is shown on the location specific Terms and conditions. It is possible to waive all or part of the excess by payment of a further fee to the local car hire company at the time of collection of the vehicle. The insurance cover provided does not cover tyres, windscreens, damage to the roof, the underside and interior of the car, towing charges and any damage caused wilfully or clearly by driver negligence. You may therefore be liable for the cost of damage so caused. Insurance cover is not provided for personal injury or contents of the car in case of theft.
Provision Of Vehicles
A car hire supplier can refuse to provide a vehicle to any person who is, in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such cases, your contract with Whizz Car Rental will immediately become void and we will have no further liability to you.
Free Offers And Value Added Extras
All special offers, discounts or free extras over our standard rates are offered on a subject to availability basis. Whizz Car Rental cannot accept any responsibility in the unlikely event that it is temporarily unavailable.

Parts of these territories may have additional terms and conditions for hirers. Please ensure you enquire locally for any applicable conditions.
Failed Reservations
Rentals that fail for reasons outside of the control of Whizz Car Rental or its agents or sub contractors will not qualify for refund of charges or any compensatory payment. These reasons include but are not limited to:
Failure to produce a valid original driving licence in the hirers name at the pick up location
Failure to produce a valid voucher at the pick up location
Unsatisfactory licence due to driving record, age or disability not previously disclosed to Whizz Car Rental
Intoxication by alcohol or drugs
No Show or Failure to arrive at the appointed time, unless previously notified in writing within the specified period for refund to Whizz Car Rental.
Failure to provide a valid credit card in the principle hirer's name at the pick-up rental location
Accident or injury with or without the hired car
Incorrect reservation information provided to Whizz Car Rental
Insulting or threatening behaviour towards rental location staff
General Conditions
All reservations made by clients are subject to our terms and conditions. No other terms, conditions and warranties, expressed or implied by law, custom and course of dealing shall form part of any contract between Whizz Car Rental and our clients except for those terms imposed by law where application is mandatory.
The client acknowledges that in making a reservation with Whizz Car Rental they do so only on the basis of the material contained in the Whizz Car Rental Web Site or relevant advertising medium. All other statements or representations made by Whizz Car Rental, itıs employees, agents or sub-contractors are of no effect unless confirmed in writing by Whizz Car Rental to the client.
Whizz Car Rental sources vehicles from various rental companies in the countries in which it operates. The rental of the vehicle will be subject to the law of the country in which it is supplied to you and for this reason you will be required to sign a rental contract with the rental company which supplies the vehicle. You will be subject to its terms and conditions and local law.
Whizz Car Rental reserves the right to pass on to the client any increase in local VAT or other taxes that may be introduced after a reservation is made. Any additional charges payable on arrival are subject to local taxes at the prevailing rate in that country.
Whizz Car Rentals liability to the client for any loss, damage, injury or accident whatsoever, whether arising out of negligence, breach of contract, or any other cause shall not exceed twice the invoiced value of the rental.
Whizz Car Rental will not be held responsible for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, causing wilful damage, driving off of paved roads or driving without due care and attention. The client will indemnify Whizz Car Rental against any claims arising from such actions.
